​  How do I activate the licence?
Sign in to your Bitdefender Central account at central.bitdefender.com (or create one), open My Subscr​iptions in the left-hand menu, choose + Activate with code and enter the licence key from your email. You then install protection on all your devices directly from Bitdefender Central.
​  How many devices can I use Total Security on?
On as many as your chosen licence variant states (1, 3, 5 or 10 devices), in any combination of Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. You add further devices in Bitdefender Central via Install on another device – send the download link by email, copy it or scan a QR code.
​  Are the features the same on every system?
No. The Windows version has the most features. On Mac, Android and iOS you install Bitdefender apps with features that match what each system allows – on iOS, for example, the focus is on web protection, scam detection, data breach checks and the VPN.
​  Do I need to uninstall my current antivirus?
Yes. Bitdefender advises never to have more than one security solution installed on a device at the same time. Uninstall your current antivirus and, on Windows, restart your PC before installing Bitdefender.
​  How do I renew my licence?
Buy a new licence for the same product with the same number of devices and, when activating the code in Bitdefender Central, select Extend current subscr​iption. The remaining days are added on, provided the total validity does not exceed 5 years. You can see the expiry date under My Subscr​iptions.
​  Which language is the app in?
On Windows you choose the interface language during installation from the menu in the bottom-right corner and can change it later in the app settings; on Mac the app follows the system language. The Bitdefender Central web account is available in English and many other languages.
