How do I activate Office Professional Plus 2019?
Install Office Professional Plus 2019 using Microsoft's official Office Deployment Tool. Then start Word, select I don't want to sign in or create an account in the Sign in to set up Office window and enter the product key without hyphens.
How do I activate Office Home & Business 2019?
Go to setup.office.com, sign in with your Microsoft account (or create one) and enter the product key without hyphens. The licence is added to your account, from which you install Office and can later reinstall it without the key.
Does Office 2019 still receive updates?
No. Support for Office 2019 for Windows ended on 14 October 2025, and for Mac in October 2023. The apps keep working but no longer receive security fixes or new features. Since October 2023, Microsoft no longer supports connecting Office 2019 to Microsoft 365 services.
On how many computers can I use Office?
The licence is for one computer. It is a non-transferable licence that cannot be moved to another computer after activation.
Should I choose the 32-bit or the 64-bit version?
Office 2019 is available in both. Microsoft recommends the 64-bit version on computers with 4 GB of RAM or more, unless you need older add-ins that only work with the 32-bit version.
Which languages is Office 2019 available in?
Office 2019 offers a full Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian and English user interface, among many other languages. You can change the language in the app under File > Options > Language.

Installation and activation
- Office Professional Plus 2019 (Windows): download the Office Deployment Tool from the Microsoft Download Center and extract it; you will get setup.exe and sample configuration files.
- Prepare a configuration.xml file for Office Professional Plus 2019 as described in Microsoft's guide, then run the installation in a Command Prompt opened as administrator with setup /configure configuration.xml.
- Start Word, select I don't want to sign in or create an account in the Sign in to set up Office window and enter the product key from your e-mail without hyphens.
- Office Home & Business 2019 (Windows and Mac): go to setup.office.com, sign in with your Microsoft account, enter the product key without hyphens and finish redeeming it – the licence is added to your account.
- Install Office from the Microsoft account the licence belongs to, start Word and sign in with the same account.
- You can check the activation status in any Office app under File > Account.
