AOMEI Image Deploy Technician
AOMEI Image Deploy Technician deploys a system image created with AOMEI Backupper to multiple computers on your local network at the same time – with no manual installation on each machine. Client computers boot over the network (PXE), automatically receive computer names and IP addresses and, thanks to Universal Restore, start up even on dissimilar hardware. The Technician edition is designed for businesses, IT departments and technicians who offer deployment as a paid service. Set up dozens or even hundreds of computers at once with minimal manual work.

What do I need for deployment?
A PC or server with AOMEI Image Deploy, client computers connected by cable to the same LAN with network boot (PXE) enabled, and a system or disk image created with AOMEI Backupper and stored on a network share or NAS. If the program cannot find the components needed to build Windows PE, install Windows ADK with the Windows PE add-on.
Do I need AOMEI Backupper?
Yes, AOMEI Image Deploy only supports images created with AOMEI Backupper (System Backup or Disk Backup). The free AOMEI Backupper Standard edition can also create system and disk backups.
How does it differ from the free version?
The Technician edition adds preset client IP addresses and deployment to dissimilar hardware, and when installed on Windows Server it removes the limit of 20 simultaneous deployments. It is licensed for business use and billable services, and you get priority technical support.
Does it support UEFI and GPT disks?
Yes, AOMEI Image Deploy can boot UEFI machines. The boot mode in the BIOS must match the disk's partition style – GPT disks require UEFI and MBR disks require legacy mode.
Can it deploy images with multiple disks?
From a backup image containing several disks, only the first disk is restored. Disconnect any other disks on the clients and set the target disk number to match the image to avoid data loss.
How do I activate the licence?
You receive the licence code by e-mail. Download AOMEI Image Deploy from the vendor's official website, install it on the control PC or server and enter the code when registering the program. See the Instructions tab for details.

AOMEI Image Deploy Technician
Installation and activation
- On the official AOMEI Image Deploy page, download the installer and install it on the PC or server that will control the deployment.
- If the program cannot find the required components when creating the Windows PE environment, install Windows ADK with the Windows PE add-on on the same computer (Windows AIK for Windows 7).
- Launch AOMEI Image Deploy and register it with the licence code from your e-mail to unlock the Technician features.
- In AOMEI Backupper, create a system or disk image (System Backup or Disk Backup) and save it to a network share or NAS.
- In AOMEI Image Deploy, choose Create bootable WinPE ISO or WIM automatically and click Next. Connect the client computers by cable to the same LAN and set network boot (PXE) as the first boot option in their BIOS.
- Once the clients are connected, tick I confirm all the client computers which need to be deployed are online, select the image (.adi) via Browse, choose the clients and the target disk number, optionally set computer names and IP addresses under Settings, and click Start Deploy.
