Frequently asked questions
How do I activate the licence?
Go to my.nordaccount.com/activate, enter the activation code from your email and your email address, and click ‘Continue’. If you already have a Nord Account, Premium is added to it automatically; otherwise an account is created for you. Then install NordPass, log in and create your Master Password. You will find the full steps in the Instructions tab.
How many devices can I use NordPass on?
This option is listed for 6 devices. Under the vendor's current terms, however, NordPass Premium lets you stay logged in on an unlimited number of devices at the same time, with your data syncing automatically between them.
Can I share Premium with my family?
NordPass Premium is for one user account. You can, however, securely share individual passwords and other items with other NordPass users. For up to 6 separate accounts, the vendor offers the NordPass Family plan.
What if I forget my Master Password?
Your Master Password unlocks your vault and, thanks to zero-knowledge architecture, nobody but you knows it. So generate a Recovery Code in NordPass right after signing up and keep it somewhere safe – it lets you regain access to your vault even if you forget the password.
Which languages is NordPass available in?
NordPass is available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Lithuanian.
Can I import passwords from my browser or another manager?
Yes. In NordPass settings choose Import items and upload the file exported from your browser or password manager – supported options include LastPass, 1Password, Bitwarden, Dashlane, Keeper, KeePass and a generic CSV spreadsheet. Delete the exported file afterwards.

Installation and activation
- Open the Nord Account activation page (my.nordaccount.com/activate). Enter the activation code from your email in the first field and, in the second, the email address you want to use NordPass with.
- Click ‘Continue’. If you already have a Nord Account, Premium is added to it automatically. If not, an account is created automatically for the email you entered.
- Download NordPass from the official page nordpass.com/download – the app for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS, or the extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari or Opera – and install it.
- Open NordPass, enter your email, click ‘Continue’ and sign in to your Nord Account – enter the verification code from your email and, for a new account, create a password (‘Create Password’).
- Create the Master Password you will use to unlock your vault, and generate a Recovery Code straight away in case you ever forget it.
- Move passwords from your browser or another manager via Settings > Import items. You can check your Premium subscription status at any time in Nord Account at my.nordaccount.com.
