Frequently asked questions
How do I activate the licence?
Sign in to the My Kaspersky website (or create an account), enter the licence key from our e-mail under ‘Already have an activation code?’ and click Add. Then download the Kaspersky app and sign in with the same account – it activates automatically. Step-by-step instructions are in the Instructions tab.
How many devices can I use Kaspersky Premium on?
As many as your chosen licence option covers. You can mix devices freely – Windows PCs, Macs, Android phones and tablets, iPhones and iPads. The Profile section of the app and your My Kaspersky account show how many slots are left.
When does the licence start?
The subscription period starts counting down when you first activate the app on a device.
Do I need to uninstall my current antivirus?
The setup wizard checks for incompatible software, such as another antivirus, and offers to remove it. After removal you need to restart your computer, and installation then resumes automatically.
How do I renew later?
You can save a new activation code in advance: in the Profile section of the app, open the three-dot menu in the Subscription block and choose Save activation code. The code is stored in your My Kaspersky account, and once the current subscription expires you can activate the app with it.
What language is the app in, and what do I need?
The Kaspersky app is available in English. You need an internet connection and a My Kaspersky account for activation and updates; for a stable VPN connection your internet provider must support the WireGuard protocol.

Installation and activation
- Go to the My Kaspersky website (my.kaspersky.com) and sign in, or create a new account.
- At the bottom of the page, under ‘Already have an activation code?’, enter the licence key from our e-mail and click Add. The subscription then appears under Subscriptions.
- Click the subscription panel and download the app for your operating system. You can also get the installer from the official download page (link below).
- Run the installer and follow the wizard. If it finds incompatible software (such as another antivirus), remove it and restart your computer.
- Once installed, the app activates automatically with the subscription in your My Kaspersky account. You can check the subscription status in the Profile section of the app.
- To protect more devices, install the Kaspersky app on them and sign in with the same account, or send them a download link or QR code from the app.
