Ashampoo Backup Pro 27 automatically backs up files, drives or your entire system – to an external drive, a network folder or the cloud. Windows
Windows 11 and 10 (64-bit); ARM-based systems and Windows Server are not supported. 500 MB free disk space, full administrative rights and an internet connection for activation. Partitions or storage devices of 8 TB or more are not supported.

How do I activate the program?
Run the installer from the official Ashampoo website and paste the licence key from your e-mail when prompted. If the activation dialog only appears once the program starts, choose to enter the key manually and confirm. Step-by-step instructions are in the Instructions tab.
How many computers can I use it on?
The licence covers 1 PC running 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.
Does the licence expire?
No, this is a lifetime licence for Backup Pro 27 with no subscription. The program does verify the licence online at regular intervals.
What if Windows will not start at all?
Create a rescue system on a USB stick or DVD in the program for exactly this situation. Boot your PC from it and restore the entire system or just selected files from your backup.
Which languages is the program available in?
Ashampoo Backup Pro 27 is available in English and many other languages, including Czech, Slovak, Polish, German, French and Spanish. Hungarian is not included.
What if I reinstall Windows or change my PC?
If you see “License key already activated” (error 157) when reactivating, log in to your Ashampoo account and click Reset next to the licence under Licenses. You can then activate it again; Ashampoo support can also help.

Ashampoo Backup Pro 27
Installation and activation
- Download the Ashampoo Backup Pro 27 installer (ashampoo_backup_pro_27.exe) from the official Ashampoo page.
- Run the downloaded file, confirm the Windows administrator prompt and follow the setup wizard.
- When the installer asks for your licence key, copy the key from your e-mail (Ctrl+C), click “Paste from clipboard” and then “Activate now!” Activation requires an internet connection.
- If the activation dialog only appears when the program starts, click “Enter key manually”, paste the key and click “Activate”.
- Create your first backup plan: select files or drives, choose a storage location (drive, network or cloud) and set compression or encryption.
- Create a rescue system on a USB stick or DVD – the program downloads and installs the Windows ADK automatically if it is needed.
- If you see “License key already activated” (error 157), reset the licence in your Ashampoo account under Licenses and activate again.
