Windows 11 Enterprise
Windows 11 Enterprise is the edition of Windows 11 designed for businesses and organisations. It builds on Windows 11 Pro and adds features that Microsoft reserves for the Enterprise edition, such as Credential Guard to protect sign-in credentials, Personal Data Encryption and advanced options for locking down the user experience. On Enterprise, each annual feature update is supported for 36 months. Your licence key arrives by e-mail and you activate the edition directly in Windows Settings.
Credential Guard
Virtualisation-based security isolates NTLM password hashes and Kerberos tickets so attackers cannot easily steal them. It helps protect against pass-the-hash and pass-the-ticket attacks.
Personal Data Encryption
Encrypts the user's content and links the keys to Windows Hello for Business sign-in. Only the signed-in user can access the files.
Locked-down experience
Set a fixed Start layout, a custom sign-in screen, Shell Launcher, Keyboard Filter or Unified Write Filter for kiosks and shared devices.
36 months of support per version
On Enterprise, each annual feature update is supported for 36 months, with the current version 26H2 covered until October 2029. You can move to new versions at your own pace.

Frequently asked questions
I have Windows 11 Pro – do I need to reinstall?
No. Microsoft supports moving from Windows 11 Pro to Enterprise by entering the product key in Settings > System > Activation, without reinstalling and without a restart.
Can I use the key on Windows 11 Home?
Microsoft does not list a direct change from Home to Enterprise among its supported paths. You first need Windows 11 Pro installed and then enter the Enterprise key.
How many PCs does the licence cover? Can it be transferred?
The licence is for 1 PC. It is an OEM licence, which is tied to the device once activated and cannot be transferred to another computer.
How long will the system receive updates?
Windows 11 Enterprise follows the Modern Lifecycle Policy: each annual feature update is supported for 36 months, with version 26H2 supported until October 2029. Before support ends, simply move to a newer version of Windows 11.
Which languages are available?
You choose the language when you download the Windows 11 installation media, and you can add further display languages at any time in Settings > Time & language > Language & region.
Is there a 32-bit version?
No. Windows 11 is a 64-bit-only operating system and Microsoft does not offer a 32-bit version. Please check that your PC meets the Windows 11 requirements.

Installation and activation
- Check that your PC meets the Windows 11 requirements (64-bit processor, TPM 2.0, Secure Boot).
- If you do not have Windows 11 Pro yet, download the media creation tool or the Windows 11 ISO image from Microsoft's official website and install the Pro edition.
- After installation, open Start > Settings > System > Activation.
- Next to Change product key, select Change, paste the 25-character licence key from the e-mail and confirm.
- Windows changes the edition from Pro to Enterprise without reinstalling the system.
- On the Activation page, check that the edition shows Windows 11 Enterprise and that Windows is activated.
