How do I activate the licence?
Go to norton.com/setup, enter the 25-character product key from your e-mail, sign in to your Norton account (or create one) and download the installer. Step-by-step instructions are in the Instructions tab.
How many devices does it cover?
Norton AntiVirus Basic protects one Windows PC. Macs, phones and tablets are not covered by this licence.
How does it differ from Norton AntiVirus Plus?
Norton AntiVirus Plus has everything Basic offers, plus a Smart Firewall, 2 GB of PC Cloud Backup, Password Manager and the Virus Protection Promise. Basic is for those who only need antivirus protection.
How do I renew my subscription?
Buy a new product key and enter it in the Norton app or at norton.com/setup. Days left on your current subscription are not carried over to the new key, so activate it towards the end of your current term.
Can I reinstall Norton or move it to a new PC?
Yes. You mainly need the product key for the first registration; to reinstall or set up a new PC, download Norton from your account at my.norton.com. The licence still covers only one PC.

Norton AntiVirus Basic
Installation and activation
- Go to norton.com/setup, enter the 25-character product key from your e-mail (five groups of five characters) and click Next.
- Enter your e-mail address and click Next. Sign in to your Norton account, or click Create an account to set one up.
- If you're prompted to set up automatic renewal, follow the on-screen instructions. Then read the License and Services Agreement and click Agree and Download.
- Run the downloaded installer and complete the installation as shown on screen. The product installs and activates automatically; your PC must be connected to the internet.
- After installation, check in the Norton app that your protection is active. You can also see your subscription in your account at my.norton.com.
