According to Kaspersky, a Kaspersky Anti-Virus licence activates the current Kaspersky Standard app with full features for Windows at no extra cost until it expires. The macOS, Android and iOS apps are not included.
How do I activate the licence?
Download Kaspersky Standard from Kaspersky's official page for Anti-Virus users, install it, sign in to your My Kaspersky account and enter the licence key from your e-mail. You can also add the key on the My Kaspersky website first. Step-by-step instructions are in the Instructions tab.
How many computers can I use the licence on?
As many Windows PCs as your chosen licence option covers. The Profile section of the app and your My Kaspersky account show how many slots are left.
When does the licence start?
The licence period starts counting down when you first activate the app on a computer.
Do I need to uninstall my current antivirus?
The setup wizard checks for incompatible software, such as another antivirus, and offers to remove it. After removal you need to restart your computer, and installation then resumes automatically.
What language is the app in?
The Kaspersky Standard app is available in English. You need an internet connection and a My Kaspersky account for activation and updates.

Installation and activation
- Open Kaspersky's official page for Anti-Virus users (link below) and use the free download – it downloads the current Kaspersky Standard app.
- Run the installer and follow the wizard. If it finds incompatible software (such as another antivirus), remove it and restart your computer.
- Sign in to your My Kaspersky account, or create one.
- Enter the Kaspersky Anti-Virus licence key from our e-mail and confirm activation. You can also add the key in advance on the My Kaspersky website under ‘Already have an activation code?’ with the Add button.
- Check in the Profile section of the app that the subscription is active, then run your first scan.
