How do I activate the program?
Download Ashampoo Driver Updater from the official Ashampoo website, install it and enter the licence key you received by email in the activation window. An internet connection is required for activation. Step-by-step instructions are in the Instructions tab.
On how many devices can I use the program?
The licence covers up to 3 devices running Windows 11 or 10. If the key cannot be activated again after reinstalling Windows, contact Ashampoo support – unlike other Ashampoo programs, Driver Updater licences cannot be reset in your Ashampoo account.
When does the licence start and how long does it last?
The licence is valid for 1 year. Under Ashampoo's licence terms, the licence period begins when you activate the software or receive the licence key, so we recommend activating the key soon after delivery.
What happens when the year is up?
When the licence expires, your right to use the program and its updates ends. To keep using it, simply purchase a new licence.
Which languages is the program available in?
Ashampoo Driver Updater is available in English, Polish, Hungarian and German, among other languages. Czech and Slovak are not included.
Is updating drivers safe?

Ashampoo Driver Updater
Installation and activation
- On the official Ashampoo Driver Updater page, click Download and save the installation file.
- Run the downloaded file and complete the installation using the wizard. Full administrator rights are required to install and use the program.
- When the setup or the program displays the activation window, choose to enter the key manually and paste the licence key from your email – ideally by copying it (Ctrl+C) and pasting it (Ctrl+V).
- Confirm the activation. Your computer must be connected to the internet, as the licence is verified online.
- Once activated, run the first driver scan – the program automatically backs up your existing drivers and creates a Windows restore point.
- On your other devices (up to 3 in total), repeat the same steps with the same licence key.
