How do I activate the licence?
Launch Start Menu 8, click Activate Now (at the bottom left of the main window or at the top right of the Start menu), enter your licence code and confirm with Register Now. See the Instructions tab for step-by-step details.
Does it work on Windows 11?
The vendor officially lists support for Windows XP to Windows 10; Windows 11 is not among the supported systems. The classic Start menu is added to Windows 10, 8.1 and 8.
How many PCs can I use it on?
On 3 PCs – both licence options are for 3 devices.
Which languages are available?
IObit provides Start Menu 8 language packs in 43 languages, including English, Czech, Slovak, Polish and Hungarian. You can change the language in the settings under User Interface.

Installation and activation
- On the official Start Menu 8 page, click Free Download and save the installer.
- Run the downloaded file and complete the installation wizard.
- Open Start Menu 8 and click Activate Now at the bottom left of the main window, or at the top right of the Start menu.
- Enter the licence code from your e-mail in the License Code box and confirm with Register Now.
- If the trial has already expired, click Already have a license code at the bottom right of the window that appears and enter the code there.
- Check the licence status via Manage License at the bottom left of the main window; to change the menu's look, right-click the Start button and choose Settings.
