How do I activate the licence?
Install AVG Cleaner from the Google Play Store, open it and choose Get started ▸ Already purchased? ▸ Use an activation code. Enter the code from your e-mail and tap Use this code. Step-by-step instructions are in the Instructions tab.
Do I need a separate “Pro” app?
No. AVG Cleaner Pro is the paid version of the regular AVG Cleaner app from Google Play (the app may call the paid version Premium) – the code unlocks the paid features.
How many devices can I use the licence on?
The licence covers 1 Android device (phone or tablet) for 1, 2 or 3 years, depending on the option you choose.
Will Quick Clean delete important files?
Quick Clean only pre-selects data that AVG identifies as safe to remove. Items in the Files to review category (such as downloads or screenshots) are unticked by default and are only deleted if you select them yourself. Deleted items cannot be restored.
Which languages is the app available in?
According to the vendor, AVG Cleaner for Android is available in over 30 languages, including English, Czech, Slovak, Polish and Hungarian.
What if I change my phone?
On your old device, open ☰ Menu ▸ My subscription in the app and unlink the subscription. Then install AVG Cleaner on the new device and activate it with the same code.

Installation and activation
- On your Android 10 (or later) phone or tablet, open the official AVG guide (link below) and tap Go to Google Play Store to open the AVG Cleaner app page.
- Tap Install and wait for the app to download and install.
- Tap the AVG Cleaner icon on your Home screen, select Get started and then Already purchased? (if an upgrade screen appears, tap ⋮ More options ▸ Already purchased?).
- Select Use an activation code.
- Enter the licence key from your e-mail and tap Use this code (if asked, enter your name, e-mail and postcode).
- The paid features are now active – you can, for example, switch on Automatic Cleaning in the app's tools. If the app rejects a valid code, use the AVG activation form linked from the official guide.
