​  How do I activate the software?
From version 2025 onwards, Photoshop Elements is no longer activated with a serial number but with a 24-character alphanumeric redemption code, which we send you by email. You redeem the code on Adobe's official website with your Adobe ID and download the installer from there. See the Instructions tab for the full procedure.
​  How long is the licence valid?
The licence is valid for 3 years from redemption. It is not a subscr​iption: there are no monthly or annual fees and the licence does not renew. After 3 years the editor is no longer accessible, but you can still access your media catalogue in the Elements Organizer indefinitely.
​  Does it work on both Windows and Mac?
Yes. After redeeming the code, you download the .exe installer for Windows or the .dmg installer for macOS. The variant you purchase is for 1 device.
​  Which languages are available?
Photoshop Elements 2025 is available in English, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Spanish and Swedish. You choose the language during installation. Slovak and Hungarian are not among the available languages.
​  Do I need an internet connection?
Yes, an internet connection is required for product activation and for downloading features and online content. Stay connected until the installation is complete.
​  Do I need to uninstall an older version?
No. You can have more than one version of Photoshop Elements installed on your computer, so there is no need to uninstall earlier versions.
