Frequently asked questions
How do I activate the licence?
Go to my.nordaccount.com/activate, enter the 25-character activation code from your email and your email address, enter the verification code and create a password – or sign in to your existing Nord Account. Then download the NordVPN app and log in. You will find the full steps in the Instructions tab.
How many devices can I use NordVPN on?
This option is for 6 devices – computers, phones, tablets and TVs. Under the vendor's current terms, up to 10 devices can be connected to one NordVPN account at the same time. To protect even more devices, set up the VPN on your router: it uses just one slot and protects everything connected to it.
I already use NordVPN. Can I use the code to extend it?
Yes. When activating, enter the email address of your existing Nord Account and sign in – your subscription will be extended by the period you bought. Each code can only be used once; if you have several, activate them one by one.
Does the subscription renew automatically?
Not unless you switch it on. You can skip the auto-renewal step during activation. Once the subscription ends, however, you lose access to NordVPN servers – simply extend it with another activation code.
Which languages is the NordVPN app available in?
The app is available in English and a number of other languages, such as German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch, and also in Polish on Windows, macOS and iOS.
Can I use NordVPN on my TV?
Yes. NordVPN has apps for Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV. Devices without their own app, such as older smart TVs or games consoles, can be protected by setting up the VPN on your router.

Installation and activation
- Open the Nord Account activation page (my.nordaccount.com/activate). Enter the 25-character code from your email in the ‘Activation code’ field and, in the ‘Email’ field, the address you want to use NordVPN with. Double-check the address – the code is linked to it immediately.
- Click ‘Continue’, enter the verification code sent to your email (check your spam folder if you cannot see it) and click ‘Continue’ again.
- If you are new, create a strong password and click ‘Create Password’. If you already have a Nord Account, enter your password – the subscription will be added to your account or will extend your current one. You can skip the auto-renewal step (‘Skip this step’).
- Download the NordVPN app from the official website nordvpn.com/download, your Nord Account dashboard, the App Store or Google Play and install it. On Windows, run NordVPNInstall.exe and follow the wizard.
- Launch NordVPN and click ‘Log In’. Sign in with your Nord Account details in the browser and allow the link to open in the NordVPN app.
- Click ‘Secure my connection’ – the status changes to ‘Connected’ and you are protected. You can check your subscription status at any time on your Nord Account dashboard.
