Frequently asked questions
Which languages is the program available in?
Ashampoo Soundstage Pro is available in English, German, Polish, Hungarian and other languages. Czech and Slovak are not included.
Do I need special headphones?
No. All you need is a PC with onboard sound or a dedicated sound card and a pair of off-the-shelf headphones.
Will it turn any recording into surround sound?
The full surround effect requires actual surround information (5.1, 6.1 or 7.1) in the original audio – the program does not upscale the signal. Even ordinary stereo recordings sound clearer and better, though.
How many PCs can I use it on?
The licence covers one PC running 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. If you replace your computer, uninstall the program from the old device before installing it on the new one.
Is the licence time-limited?
No. It is a lifetime licence with no subscription. An internet connection is required for activation, and the program verifies the licence online at regular intervals.
How do I activate the licence?
Download the program from the official Ashampoo website, install it and enter the licence key from your e-mail in the activation dialogue. Step-by-step instructions are in the Instructions tab.

Ashampoo Soundstage Pro
Installation and activation
- Download the Ashampoo Soundstage Pro installer from the official Ashampoo website (link below).
- Run the downloaded file with administrator rights, confirm the Windows security prompt and follow the setup wizard.
- Copy the licence key from the e-mail you received from us (select it and press Ctrl+C).
- When the activation dialogue appears during setup or on first launch, choose to enter the key manually, paste the key and click the activation button. Your PC must be connected to the internet.
- Once activated, launch Soundstage Pro, choose a sound location and play a film, music or a game through your headphones.
- If the program says the key is already activated (e.g. after reinstalling or on a new PC), reset the licence under Licenses in your Ashampoo account and activate again.
